Turtle project Punta Judas

Each time some living baby turtles are found in a nest, we have to " exhumate " it. It means that we have to dig in the nest. We found shells, sometimes baby turtle (who didn t find the exit yet), dead turtles, eggs without development and finally eggs with a foetus in it. It s quiet a hard job. The smell is bad, sometimes there is worms...but it was always nice to find living turtles. When everything was collect, we had to count everything for the project statistics. After that we release the turtles and put some new sand in the holes.

Here is Richie from Toronto working. We can see on his face that it s smelly !!!
